Install from Marketplace
The simplest way to get RMC is through Fab, Epic’s marketplace for Unreal Engine content (the successor to the old Unreal Engine Marketplace).
- Find “Realtime Mesh Component Pro” on Fab and add it to your library.
- From the Epic Games Launcher, install the plugin to the engine version you’re using.
- Open your project. If the plugin isn’t already active, enable it from
Edit -> Plugins, search for “Realtime Mesh Component”, and check the box. Restart the editor if prompted.
That’s enough to start using RMC from Blueprints.
Using RMC from C++
Section titled “Using RMC from C++”If you want to call the RMC API from C++, add it as a dependency in your project module’s Build.cs:
PublicDependencyModuleNames.Add("RealtimeMeshComponent");Recompile your project, and the RMC headers (RealtimeMeshActor.h, RealtimeMeshSimple.h, etc.) are available to your module.
Continue with the Quickstart to build your first mesh.
